I was curious how JoomlaGATor handles outbound links and images linked to an outbound url.

Does it track these and what would I be looking for in the GA info? Is there a way to apply an ID to the outbound links/linked images to identify them in GA? Where is JoomlaGATor placing the GA code or how is it handling this aspect?

If you enable it to track external links then yes they are tracked. The extension categorises all the external links under a separate category, the default makes them appear as /external/ and you can choose whether the whole link or just the domain name is logged. No code is shown, the code works by listening for clicks in a script, there is no alteration to the html.
