Hi all,

I installed JoomlaGator on this website www.oninternetavenue.com

All the top menu links and external links, After a week I checked on google analytics, Top Content and I dont see the /EXTERNAL folder, I also looked everywhere else and I didnt find it...

Google analytics is tracking everything else except the external links.

The module is enabled and I enabled the options:

Track External Links

Track Exact Link

Please help, it would be wonderful to see this module working

Well it isn't enabled as the relevant code isn't present in your site's source. Check the settings are enabled in the module options.

The module mod_analytics is enabled at the position FOOTER (is the position important?)

All the parameters are set to no except for Track External Links and Track Exact Link

google analitics script is pasted just before the </BODY> tag.... google is getting statistics but its not tracking the external links.

Is there anything that I am missing?

You copied the analytics code into the template too?

yes the analytics script is just before the </BODY> tag of the template....
Google analitics is gathering statistics of everything except the external links...

You shouldn't be adding it to your template, the module adds analytics code for you. Plus I see two copies on your site, one before the </body> and one in the head of the page. Neither of those should be there. Only the stuff generated by my module should be visible.

OK I deleted the tracking code from the template and there was a pluggin enabled: ARTIO Google Analytics Tracking Plugin so I disabled it as well.

The /external subdirectory hasnt been created on google analitics yet but I guess I will wait a couple of days and see what happens?

IT seems my module isn't producing code as I can't see it in the source. Some templates have a problem with the footer position so could you try placing it in the 'left' position of the template.

I have had the module enable for quite some time now.

I have enable the track external links feature.

It is clearly visible in my source code.

I was just wondering where the stats are recorded. Are the folders meant to be created in my site root directory or do I have to create them.

There are no actual folders, they just appear in Google Analytics as if all the links were in a folder. It's just a method of categorising them.

Is it under event tracking?

I changed the module position yesterday, should i wait another day? could you check if your code is being generated correctly this time?

It's still not showing, so you must be doing something wrong. Check all your settings.

I am attaching a screen shot of the configuration, I covered the google ID.

All I want is to track external links

Let me know if I am doing anything wrong...

I see your code on the home page, I just clicked on some external links now hopefully they will be tracked by google analytics....

HI, your code is working well except its not tracking the external links, I sent 2 zip files with screen shots of your plugin configuration, could you help me find whats wrong?
