I'm trying to install your module and it just wont. Perhaps i've missed something someone here will spot.

Download and extracted this (JoomlaGATor! v2.3.0) into my Joomla's tmp directory. Then attempted to install the module using Joomla's Extension Manager. Install via "Install from Directory" and I get this error message:

It was not possible to copy the selected file.
JInstaller::install: Failed to copy file: /var/www/vhosts/mohawks.co.uk/subdomains/daras/httpdocs/tmp/mod_analytics.php to /var/www/vhosts/mohawks.co.uk/subdomains/daras/httpdocs/modules/mod_analytics/mod_analytics.php

All my permissions are writable (green) within the "Directory Permissions" section.

I've also tried to upload the .zip using Upload File and Install feature but I get

note i dont have access to my php.ini file.

It's a permissions problem with your host. I suggest you contact them for assistance.

I'm still going down the route of my host.

If i wanted to go down another path, is there a manual way to install joomlagator?

forget the manual install.. I spoke to my hosting company who turned off safe mode for me. I was then able to upload and install the mod without incident. cheers
