Google claims "Tracking unknown" 2009/03/04 17:16 Karma: 0
Hello friends of the night,

so far I am doing my first steps with JoomlaGATor, running on J 1.5.9. I installed it on yogavital.net, and published the componet in the fooder position of all sites. The installtion went smooth. The code seems to be published - so far everything fine.

Now I just wonder what could be the reason, that Google does not register this site? It keeps me telling since 48 hours "Tracking unknown".

Any hint would be highly apreciated.

I had a look at your site and the Analytics tracking number looks like it should have another number on the end such as -1 or -2. Could you check it against the one in your Google Analytics Dashboard and see if they are the same?

Upps- sorry! Indeed, there is a -1 which was'nt copied.
Thanks a lot for the advice. Now we will wait and see, if google does accept the code!

Hi Nick,

Hi, I installed the code a couple days ago and the site is not recognized. Attached is a screenshot. The site name is in my email address. I installed in footer. I also checked the source to confirm that the code is there. Did I miss anything? Thanks.

The only thing I can suggest is perhaps there should be a -1 or other -x number on the end of your analytics account number. If that's not the problem I can only guess you have used an incorrect setting or the such as the code is fine.

Have you checked your account number in the module settings is the same as the one on the Analytics site?

Thanks Nick for following up. I found out after your previous answer that I have two accounts. One for my site one was never used. I used the wrong account id when I configured Gator. It is working now. Thanks again.

I have the same problem whit my website, Google still claim the code, i have a MSG like this:

The Google Analytics tracking code has not been detected on your website's home page. For Analytics to function, you or your web administrator must add the code to each page of your website.

What can i do please
